Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician
Location: Sterling, VA 20164
Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM (Day Shift)
Contract Duration: 37 Weeks
Pay: $28/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician to support a K–2 Autism program. This role provides direct behavioral support, implements individualized intervention plans, and assists instructional staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment. The RBT will work 1:1 with a designated student while assisting with overall classroom behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and classroom behavioral support for students in a K–2 Autism program
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under supervision
Support skill-building, emotional regulation, and positive reinforcement strategies
Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and participation in learning activities
Maintain a safe and supportive environment aligned with SPED requirements
Document behavioral observations and progress
Collaborate with teachers, SPED teams, and related service providers
Assist with communication support, task prompting, and de-escalation as needed
Qualifications:
Valid RBT certification or advanced behavior training required
Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), preferably K–2
Knowledge of ABA principles and positive behavior supports
Strong communication skills, patience, and ability to follow structured behavior plans
Ability to work onsite daily and adhere to the school schedule
