Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Salary: $61,300 - $82,075

Location: New York, US with hybrid working

Contract: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)

About the role  

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture – Americas, you will act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, supporting day-to-day HR operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring consistency in the application of policies and procedures. You'll collaborate closely with the wider People & Culture team and the Country Manager to support business objectives and employee engagement, ensuring local HR practices align with both regional compliance requirements and our global people strategy.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Serving as a key point of contact for employee queries, providing timely and accurate responses to support a positive employee experience.
  • Providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, promoting an inclusive and compliant workplace culture.
  • Supporting the full recruitment lifecycle, including job adverts, interviews, offers.
  • Managing onboarding, and background checks.
  • Conducting employee orientations for new hires.
  • Supporting performance management processes, including review cycles and upskilling sessions for managers.
  • Maintaining accurate salary records and supporting compensation-related processes.
  • Ensuring HR practices comply with federal, state, and provincial laws, and staying current with changes in labour legislation.
  • Maintaining HRIS data integrity and generating reports as needed.
  • Assisting with benefits enrolment and leave administration.
  • Partnering with global HR colleagues to align local policies and practices with corporate initiatives.
  • Leading employee engagement and retention initiatives, including exit interviews and feedback analysis.
  • Contributing to regional and global HR projects, including DEI, employee engagement, and learning & development.

 

About you

 You are a certified Human Resources Specialist (e.g., SPHR/PHR or equivalent) with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You bring proven experience in HRIS and digital HR tools, payroll systems, and employee compensation management. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, strategic mindset, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment make you an ideal fit.
