Job Description

As a Funeral Director at Vertin, you will be a vital part of our team dedicated to serving families with respect and compassion during their most difficult moments. Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange and conduct funeral ceremonies according to family preferences.
  • Provide assistance to families in selecting services and merchandise.
  • Coordinate transportation and other logistical aspects of funeral services.
  • Prepare and embalm the deceased as required by state regulations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Support families before, during, and after the funeral with empathy.
  • Lead staff training and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Valid Funeral Director License in the applicable state.
  • Degree in mortuary science.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Empathetic approach with a passion for serving others.
  • Familiarity with the funeral industry and regulations.
  • Flexible schedule including availability for after-hours calls.
