You will be a member of the C360 Traits Library team, based in Atlanta, responsible for building mission-critical applications supporting Ad Sales, Promotional Marketing, and other high-revenue, high-visibility stakeholders at Warner Bros. Discovery worldwide. Our projects include advertising optimization and audience segmentation tools.
You must be a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with the knowledge, motivation, and energy to provide design and technical leadership to developers, data providers, and data consumers. You ll directly contribute to the creation of applications, data pipelines, and data service solutions. You ll collaborate with some of the best architects, developers, data engineers, product managers, and senior management in the industry to build cloud-based, data-rich products using Agile processes and tools.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
Specify, design, and build cloud-based API solutions and components
Engage closely with business stakeholders to deeply understand business problems and develop solutions to meet their needs
Collaborate with development teams to provide software architecture guidance and contribute to the construction of highly scalable, highly resilient backend solutions
Develop and modify complex, mission-critical services using TypeScript, Go, gRPC, and REST
Develop infrastructure as code following established patterns and workflows
Create, enhance, and execute unit tests
Create, enhance, and execute load tests
Create and update service monitoring alerts
Create and enhance Grafana dashboards
Participate in requirements analysis and provide technical direction on detailed specifications for high-complexity backend services
Recommend process, methodology, and tool improvements in collaboration with architects to best meet requirements
Conduct code reviews and approve pull requests
Ensure that code produced by the project team is of high quality and efficiency
Participate in daily stand-ups
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
a. Git, and either Snowflake or Databricks
2) SQL and Python experience
a. 5+ years of experience.
3) Ability to work with Product Analysts and Staff Engineers/Architects.
a. Experience working for a bigger engineering team.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements

4) Experience with cloud computing and architecture
Soft Skills:

Technology Requirements:
