Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Start Date: Targeting February 2026
Shift: Day Shift (Exact hours TBD)
Hours: 40 hours/week (5 days/week)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our specialized cardiology team. The ideal candidate will perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging of the pediatric heart, assisting in the evaluation and management of congenital and acquired cardiac conditions. This role requires a strong foundation in sonography, physiology, and interventional procedures within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment such as a Level I Trauma Center or cath lab setting. The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer will play a critical role in providing accurate diagnostic information to guide treatment plans and interventions for our young patients.

Duties

  • Perform detailed echocardiographic examinations on pediatric patients, including fetal and neonatal assessments.
  • Utilize sonography techniques to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and physiology with precision.
  • Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization, ensuring optimal imaging support.
  • Monitor vital signs and maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic evaluations accurately.
  • Document findings thoroughly and prepare comprehensive reports for clinical review.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2+ years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience.
  • Required Certifications:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ( RDCS ) issued by ARDMS
  • Basic Life Support ( BLS )
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and cardiology-related medical terminology.
  • Prior experience in trauma centers or high-acuity hospital settings is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
