Career & Technical Education (CTE) Instructor

School District of Manatee County – Bradenton, FL

$50-$62K | Full-time | Monday–Friday | No nights or weekends!

About the Role

Join a dedicated team focused on preparing students for real-world careers! As a CTE Instructor, you’ll lead and shape an engaging classroom environment, deliver hands-on instruction in your subject area, and help students achieve their full potential in career and technical education.

What You’ll Do

• Teach and assess a CTE subject aligned with district and state goals
• Inspire students through project-based learning and real-world application
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners
• Support student organizations like SkillsUSA, HOSA, etc.
• Keep up with current trends and best practices in your field
• Participate in school events, planning, and advisory committees

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of experience in the CTE field
• (or) Associate’s degree and 2 years experience
• (or) Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience
• Certified or eligible to be certified in your CTE subject area
• State or nationally recognized certification in the subject area (as approved by FLDOE)
• Passion for helping students succeed and grow in their careers

• Basic computer proficiency
• Organizational & time management skills
• Ability to lead large groups
• Knowledge of current tools, trends, and industry standards in CTE
