Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for hands-on Java Application Frameworks Developer Consultant
This role is hybrid commute (2/3 days office/home).

This is 6 months contract with possible extensions or option to hire.

** Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US - NO H1 Visa support for this role
Rate: $100-106/h on W2 DOE, possible C2C as well.

Java Application Frameworks Developer

Expert in Java and Python for Modern Risk Platform Transformation

Position Overview:
A Framework Developer with expertise in Java and Python is required to support the modernization of a risk platform. The role involves designing and optimizing reusable framework components that enable scalable, high-performance applications in Azure cloud environments, utilizing cluster computing, Databricks, and Kubernetes technologies.

Core expertise and responsibilities:
Responsibilities include applying knowledge in observability, orchestration, streaming data, and data harmonization across multiple sources and formats to develop and maintain framework components supporting rapid application development and integration.
The developer will collaborate across teams, contribute to architectural enhancements, and provide guidance to colleagues.

Required qualifications:
Required years of experience: 10+ years
Mus have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
Significant experience working with Java and Python in enterprise contexts, and demonstrate proficiency in scalable systems, microservices, cloud technologies, and software design patterns.

Preferred skills and environment:
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance;
- CI/CD and DevOps methodologies, and monitoring and performance tuning tools are considered beneficial.
- The position is part of ongoing technology transformation activities in a cloud-native setting.
