Job Summary:

Tekgo is seeking a skilled and certified Endo Technician, in Chicago, IL for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endoscope reprocessing and maintenance, as well as a commitment to upholding the highest standards of infection prevention and equipment care.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain endoscopy equipment in accordance with hospital protocols and industry standards.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of endoscopy instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all endoscopic instruments are properly tracked, labeled, and stored.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to provide timely and safe equipment support during procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all equipment usage, reprocessing logs, and maintenance records.
• Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., The Joint Commission, CDC, AAMI).

Requirements:

• Certification in Endoscope Reprocessing or Endotechnology (CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification preferred).
• Minimum 2 year of recent experience in endoscopy or sterile processing.

• Strong attention to detail and understanding of infection control practices.

• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist frequently.

Working Conditions:

• Work may take place in a healthcare facility with exposure to infectious agents.

• May require working early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

• May require overtime and on-call work.
