The National EMS Academy, a division of Acadian Companies, is seeking a motivated, highly organized individual for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm and the position will be located at NEMSA’s North University Campus in Lafayette. There are no remote or work-from-home options.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information, transferring calls and/or taking messages as necessary.
• Listen to and help resolve issues with current and potential students.
• Perform clerical duties, such as data entry, proofreading correspondence, scheduling, sorting mail, and filing and maintaining records.
• Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users.
• Create and maintain EMT and Paramedic courses in the Learning Management System for all locations.
• Process student ID badges for all locations.
• Make and confirm reservations for transportation and accommodations.
• Balance credit card billing.
• Answer inquiries regarding information such as course schedules, course price, and LMS issues.
• Other tasks as delegated at the discretion of Business Manager and/or the Director to support the mission of the National EMS Academy.

Skills / Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of administrative office experience required. Some college work preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines; Strong organizational and prioritization skills required.
• Proficient in the use of PC applications such as Google products (Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively, in verbal or written forms, with employees, customers, or the general public.
• Highly reliable attendance record.
